valoiseI love character study vids, funny vids, vids that focus on motion - anything that honors the source and inspires you would be fantastic. Musically, whatever inspires you is find with me. Id probably not be happy with heavy metal or country, but seriously, what inspires you - go for it.
Ikiru (1952) [Movie]
A movie about a man dying of cancer - how did this become one of my favorite movies of all time? Akira Kurasawa sculpts a story of a man who finds a joy for living in the face of death and Takashi Shimura drives it home with his brilliant performance. This is the third time I've requested Ikiru, hope the third time's the charm.
Seven Samurai [Movie]
Before there was the Magnificent Seven, there was Seven Samurai. I love the building camaraderie of the seven who band together to save the village. Each man finds his own courage. A vid that emphasizes this would be wonderful. My fifth request for Seven Samurai, hope it's the last.
Endgame (TV)
From an ensemble to vid to something that focuses on Arkady Balagan's unique approach to his people puzzles, I'd love to have a vid for this show. I do hope someone else loves this show as much I do in my fourth Festivids request for it.
In the Loop (2009) & The Thick of It
Festivids reveals in 2013 first introduced me to the crazy world of Malcolm Tucker. A vid that focuses on him, or an ensemble vid, whatever you choose will be me very happy. I don't particularly like the movie, though, so hopefully you'll focus most on the show.
You Me and the Apocalypse
I stated watching this series for Horrible Histories' Matthew Baynton, but love the ensemble cast, how they all come together, how everyone is connected in unexpected ways.
Samurai Gourmet (TV 2017)
A somewhat timid retired salaryman draws upon his inner samurai in challenging situations and the most divine scenes of food prep and eating. I love this show.
Tampopo (1985) [SAFETY]
Another film I've requested several times in the past, I just love Tampopo and her drive to be the best in a man's world.
