I love character study vids, funny vids, vids that focus on motion - anything that honors the source and inspires you would be fantastic. Musically, whatever inspires you is find with me. Id probably not be happy with heavy metal or country, but seriously, what inspires you - go for it.
The Frisco Kid (1979) [Movie]
I'd love a vid that shows Avram's struggle to stay true to his faith in the strange world that is America. Plus - a very young Harrison Ford
Galavant [TV]
I'd really, really love a vid that focuses on Richard, especially the way he developed in Season 2. A little Tad Cooper would be cute, too.
Harvey (1950) [Movie]
In the movie Elwood says, "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" — she always called me Elwood — "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." Make a vid that embodies that, please.
Ikiru (1952) [Movie]
A movie about a man dying of cancer - how did this become one of my favorite movies of all time? Akira Kurasawa sculpts a story of a man who finds a joy for living in the face of death and Takashi Shimura drives it home with his brilliant performance.
Seven Samurai [Movie]
Before there was the Magnificent Seven, there was Seven Samurai. I love the building camaraderie of the seven who band together to save the village. Each man finds his own courage. A vid that emphasizes this would be wonderful.
Things to Come (1936) [Movie]
This early science fiction film has some great visual storytelling, sometimes using long scenes to without dialogue to move the story forward. I'd be happy with anything you come up with, really.
