valoiseThank you, wonderful Festividder!! I love making vids for Festivids and I love, love, love getting them, too. I'm keeping my Dear Festividder details nice and short. As for music, anything that inspires you to vid will make me happy.
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr [TV]
If my vid could riff off of the weird sf and proto-steampunk elements, that'd be great.
Alice Guy-Blache (1897-1907) [Film short]
Her wonderful little short films are so full of movement, something that emphasizes this would be great. Gaumont recently released a dvd with 10 years of her restored short films and they are amazing. There are movies with sound! Lots of roles for women. Dancing! Even a little film about making a costume drama.
Endgame (2011) [TV]
I'm not sure how you will approach the vid, but one of the things I love about this show is the way in which Arkady uses his skills at analyzing situations to solve the mysteries presented to him, especially the mental role-playing he does to put himself in the situation. Chess content in the vid would be a bonus!
Good Eats [TV]
Every year I request a vid for the wacky zaniness that is Good Eats. Someday, I hope, my vid will come. This show is unrequited vid source love.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail [Movie]
Insanity. I want an insanely funny vid, the crackier, the better.
Queen of Swords [TV]
It's all about Colonel Montoya. Adding Dr. Helm gets you bonus points.
Seven Samurai [Movie]
I love the building camaraderie of the seven who band together to save the village. Each man finds his own courage. A vid that emphasizes this would be wonderful.
