Music and more music

valoiseBen downloaded almost 7 gigs of music from his iPod to my computer. That's 4 days straight of everything from gregorian chants to the White Stripes. Setting iTunes on random can bring out some real gems that no dj would ever come up with. After a long and grim Lenoard Cohen it tossed a chipper Herb Albert and the Tiajuana Brass. I just discovered I have the entire Brain Salad Surgery album from Emerson, Lake and Palmer, something I have on vinyl in storage.
Favorite so far, well that's kinda hard to say. I've got a killer jazz playlist with a lot of classics like Miles Davis and Charlie Parker and Thelonius Monk and so on. But I tossed Digable Planets and Steely Dan and Morphine in that mix because they are jazzy and they fit.
And of course a lot of Grateful Dead.
Now I just need to burn some medieval and traditional Xmas stuff for the season and I'll make a holiday playlist with no crappy overcommericialized pop tunes
