Kicking off the Highlander Chronicles: 20 years later

When hl_chronicles first announced the categories for the 20 years of Highlander challenges I immediately had two thoughts. That's a great idea. Too bad you can't vid that. But using killabeez as a sounding board, it dawned on me that I could do this by pulling together clips from Highlander, Peter Wingfield's later tv work and other source material.

The song, Times Will Change by Danish band Marvins Revolt, was the only one I considered. I liked the changing pace of the music and the lyrics are filled with urge to keep moving, grow stronger and survive. What could be more Methos than that?

Wonderful vid - I really love how you mixed in Peter's other roles as well as relevant "other" content to show the passage of time. Reminded me a bit of Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" vid - and that's a good thing because it's a favorite of mine.

Loved the quick cuts to show the passage from one life to the next - and I love the idea that Methos decides to "play god" and become a heart surgeon. His version of going to hide on Holy Ground and repent his sins?

I also loved his *sigh*-you-again? attitude to Mac periodically showing up. LOL.

That's brilliant! I love the way that you showed the passage of time with those iconic images. And What's more I got the feeling that Methos's interactions with Duncan and Joe had ... reinvigorated him, allowed him to really throw himself passionately back into life.
