Ah, Festivids, what a great time of year

I'm anxiously waiting for my [livejournal.com profile] festivids assignment, but while I wait I'd like to thank my vidder. I'm already so happy that you'll be taking the time to make a vid just for me.

I know when I vid I often find the inspiration directly from the music, so I don’t want to hinder your creativity by asking for specific songs. I love vids that show are well-edited and show a certain amount of restraint with effects. Humor can be a plus, but isn’t entirely necessary. And most of all, thanks so much for making my vid.

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.
There's so much to love in this series, a show that was kind of steampunk before there was steampunk. From the quirky characters to the sf strangeness, I love it all. If you wanted to do a Brisco/Bowler pairing I wouldn’t object.

Red
I absolutely love the quirky elderly kick-ass characters in this movie, but Victoria is my favorite.

Endgame
Americans mostly haven’t seen this show and it’s too bad. For me it's all about Arkady, you can focus on his problem solving skills or how damaged or quirky he is and I'll love it.

Good Eats
When a trained cinematographer with a passion for food science, Alton Brown, set out creating a cooking show he filled it with all kinds of interesting camera angles and visually interesting things. This demands humor, the sillier the better. I think I would be thrilled with just about anything you come up with.

Highlander: The Raven
Give me a vid about Amanda and her sword and surviving through the centuries and I will be a happy, happy woman. Also, I’m not generally into femslash, but there’s something about Lucy and Amanda . . .

Yojimbo
I love Tohsiro Mifune a lot and especially so in Yojimbo. The lone ronin who drifts into town and pits one group of bad guys against the other is such an anti-hero before Hollywood had discovered anti-heros. And the swordplay - I love the fight scenes so much.

Santuary
As much as I adore Henry and Will and Tesla and Druitt and James Watson - it’s Helen Magnus that drives this series for me. A Magnus vid would make me very, very happy.
